Agartala, November 26: On the occasion of Constitution Day, Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu extended his heartfelt greetings to the people of the state. In a message released to mark the day, the Governor highlighted the significance of November 26, celebrated as the day when the Constitution of India was adopted, laying the foundation for the country’s democratic system and defining the rights and responsibilities of its citizens.
Governor Reddy stated, “This day reminds us of the visionary ideals and values of the framers of our Constitution. It embodies the principles of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. On this occasion, we also honor the sacrifices made during the struggle for independence, which led to the creation of a sovereign India.”
He emphasized that the Constitution is not merely a legal document but a guiding force for building a united and progressive society. “The Constitution empowers every individual, upholding their dignity and freedom. Let us pledge to respect the rights of others, fulfill our duties as responsible citizens, and contribute to the growth of our state and nation,” the Governor added.
The Governor called upon everyone to reaffirm their commitment to the ideals enshrined in the Constitution and work collectively towards a brighter future for all.
Constitution Day, also known as Samvidhan Divas, is celebrated across the country to honor the adoption of the Indian Constitution on November 26, 1949.
