Belonia 14 November, 2024: “Today’s children are tomorrow’s future. A society without education cannot progress, so children must be educated with a strong foundation for a bright future,” said Cooperation Minister Sukla Charan Noatia during the inauguration of the State-Level Children’s Day 2024 celebration at Sachin Debbarman Auditorium in Belonia.
He emphasized that through education, we can transform our lives, our state, and society. The state government is committed to promoting quality education through various initiatives. He also urged teachers to play a role in preventing child marriages and highlighted the need for a collective effort among students, teachers, and parents to achieve a drug-free Tripura.
The event was chaired by Dipak Dutta, Chairperson of the South Tripura Zilla Parishad. Other notable speakers included Belonia Sub-Divisional Magistrate Krishna Chandra Gupta. Director of School Education Nripendra Chandra Sharma delivered the welcome address.
The event was attended by MLAs Malayu Mog and Swapna Majumdar, Belonia Municipal Council Chairperson Nikhil Chandra Gop, District Magistrate and Collector Smita Mol M.S., and District Education Officer Subir Majumdar.
The ceremony began with guests paying tribute to Jawaharlal Nehru by offering floral respects to his portrait. Students from various schools participated in cultural performances, adding vibrance to the celebration.
