Tripura 12 November, 2024: According to official sources, acting on a tip-off, a joint operation by Agartala GRP (Government Railway Police), BSF (Border Security Force), and RPF (Railway Protection Force) led to the arrest of three Bangladeshi women at Agartala Railway Station on November 11, 2024. The women, identified as Hasna Hena (26) from Satkhira, Kulsoom Begum (22) from Narail, and Swapna Akter (19) from Chittagong, were apprehended after entering India illegally and were planning to travel further by train.
The suspects were detained by female officers and are currently undergoing thorough questioning at Agartala GRP Police Station. Authorities suspect additional arrests may follow as investigations unfold to uncover any further connections to this case.
A formal case has been registered at Agartala GRP Police Station, and the arrested individuals are scheduled to be presented before the court today.
