The 21st State-Level Wa Festival will be celebrated on November 10 and 11 at Chalita Bankul BB High School, under the Rupai Chari Block in Sabroom subdivision. This two-day festival is being organized by the Department of Information and Culture, in collaboration with the Mog Socio-Cultural Organization and the Sabroom Sub-Divisional Administration.
The event will be inaugurated on November 10 by Member of Parliament Kriti Devi Debbarma. As part of the festivities, a seminar and workshop will be held on November 11 to discuss the development of the Mog language and the preservation of Mog culture.
This annual festival aims to promote cultural diversity and bring awareness to the Mog community’s heritage through various programs and cultural performances. The Wa Festival provides a platform for attendees to experience and celebrate the rich traditions of the Mog people, fostering community bonding and cultural appreciation.
