West Tripura: The Brahmakunda Fair will be held from November 15 to 17 in celebration of Raas Purnima. This decision was taken at a preparatory meeting at the Brahmakunda Gram Panchayat office. The meeting was attended by West Tripura Zilla Parishad President Balai Goswami, TTADC Executive Member Rabindra Debbarma, Mohanpur Panchayat Samiti Chairman Rakesh Deb, Vice Chairman Sanjeev Kumar Das, Hejamara BAC Chairman Sunil Debbarma, Tripura Tea Development Corporation Chairman Samir Ranjan Ghosh, Mohanpur Municipal Council Chairperson Anita Debnath, Zilla Parishad Member Joylal Das, Mohanpur Sub-Divisional Magistrate Subhash Dutta, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Sabyasachi Debnath, Assistant Director of the West Tripura District Information and Cultural Affairs Office Amrit Debbarma, and Mohanpur Block BDO Dhrutishekhar Roy.
The meeting concluded with plans for cultural programs to be organized by the Information and Cultural Affairs Department during the three-day event. Additionally, various departments and self-help groups will set up exhibition stalls at the fair. For vendors wishing to set up stalls, registrations will be open from November 9 to 12, with plot allocations decided by lottery on November 13.
A management committee has been formed to ensure the success of the Brahmakunda Fair. Zilla Parishad President Balai Goswami called for full cooperation from all stakeholders to make the event successful.
