Ambassa 1 November 2024: In a major breakthrough in the fight against narcotics, Ambassa Police seized 80,000 YABA tablets worth approximately ₹2 crore, acting on a tip-off. The operation was conducted by officers of the Ambassa Police Station, who intercepted a vehicle and arrested the driver, leading to the significant recovery.
The Chief Minister of Tripura, Dr. Manik Saha, acknowledged and praised the efforts of Ambassa Police on social media, congratulating them for their dedicated work against the drug menace. A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered, and further investigations are underway to trace the origins and intended distribution channels of the seized drugs.
