Kailashahar, October 24: In anticipation of the upcoming State-Level Youth Festival and Science Fair, a preparatory meeting was held today at the Circuit House in Kailashahar, chaired by Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Tinku Roy.
It was decided that the three-day festival will take place from November 13 to 15 at Unakoti Kalakshetra in Kailashahar. Additionally, a Science Fair and exhibition will be held at Shrirampur SMH School.
To ensure smooth execution, a steering committee and nine subcommittees have been formed for the festival and science fair. Key officials, including Unakoti Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Amalendu Das, Deputy Sabhadhipati Santosh Dhar, Kailashahar Municipal Council Chairperson Chapla Deb Roy, Chandipur Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Sampa Das Pal, Secretary of Youth Affairs and Sports Dr. P.K. Chakraborty, Unakoti District Magistrate Dilip Kumar Chakma, Director of Youth Affairs and Sports Satyabrata Nath, and Kailashahar SDM Pradip Sarkar, attended the meeting.
The youth festival will feature competitions in group and solo folk dance, folk songs, painting, poetry, and story writing.
