Agartala, October 21, 2024: Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu visited the Solid Waste Management Plant and Common Bio-Medical Waste Treatment Facility in Devendra Chandra Nagar today. In the afternoon, he also inspected the Integrated Command and Control Center in Indranagar and the Flood Pump House in Banamalipur.
Speaking to the media, Governor Nallu praised the Integrated Command and Control Center managed by the Agartala Municipal Corporation. He emphasized the need for modernization of Agartala’s drainage system and the importance of taking action in this regard.
During his visit to the Common Bio-Medical Waste Treatment Facility, the Governor stated that waste management is a significant challenge for any modern city. He directed the relevant authorities to ensure the proper operation of this facility.
While welcoming the Governor, Dr. Shailesh Kumar Yadav, the Commissioner of Agartala Municipal Corporation, provided detailed information about various developmental projects. The Governor’s visit was attended by his secretary, U K Chakma, senior officials from the Agartala Municipal Corporation, and engineers responsible for different projects.
