In order to ensure peace, security, and harmony in Kanchanpur Sub-Division of North Tripura district, restrictions have been imposed under the new law, 163 BNNS (Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sangkita), 2023. These restrictions, aimed at maintaining public safety and order, came into effect on 15th October 2024 and will remain in force until 17th October 2024. The Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Kanchanpur, Dr. Deepak Kumar, issued this directive.
Under this order, public gatherings, meetings, and other mass activities have been restricted to prevent any law and order issues. Law enforcement agencies have been instructed to strictly enforce these restrictions, while police officers of Kanchanpur Sub-Division have been placed on high alert to maintain peace and security.
The administration further clarified that essential government employees, such as healthcare personnel and those engaged in urgent public services, will be exempt from these restrictions while performing their duties. Violations of this order will be addressed under the appropriate legal provisions.
