Khowai 12 October, 2024: An unfortunate incident occurred late last night in the Purba Ganaki area of Khowai, where an 80-year-old man named Rabindra Shukla Baidya lost his life following a dispute during a gathering. The event took place around 1 AM in the 6 No. Ward of Purba Ganaki Colony, under the jurisdiction of Khowai Police Station.
As per reports, a few individuals were present at a gathering at the residence of Shri Dhar Tanti (48). Among them were Lal Mohan Tanti (65), Benu Tanti (56), and Rabindra Baidya. An argument ensued between some members of the group during the gathering, which led to an unfortunate escalation.
Authorities were informed of the incident, and Khowai Police responded promptly. Dhar Tanti was taken into custody as part of the ongoing investigation into the matter. Further details are expected as the investigation continues.
