Agartala, Oct 1: In a press conference, the higher education department announced that students who could not pass their semester exams will be promoted to the next semester. This decision was finalized in a meeting of the Academic Council of Tripura University on September 28.
This new decision aligns with the guidelines of the National Education Policy (NEP)-14, which was notified on September 30, 2024. Animesh Debbarma, an official of the Higher Education Department, confirmed this during the press conference.
He further elaborated that students who couldn’t appear in the exams due to illness or any other physical incapacity would also be promoted. However, they will have to pass their pending exams according to the rules of the National Education Policy. The official also mentioned that the results of the first semester were declared on August 23 for MBB University and on August 22 and 23 for Tripura University.
