Unakoti, September 24, 2024: Under the ambitious Jal Jeevan Mission, a total of 6,24,734 households in Tripura’s rural areas have been provided with piped drinking water connections, according to official reports. Between September 1 and 17, 1,284 households received tap water connections under this scheme.
Breaking down the data by district, North Tripura saw 83 households connected, Unakoti 32, Dhalai 305, Khowai 192, West Tripura 169, Sepahijala 326, Gomati 44, and South Tripura 133.
The Nodal Officer of Jal Jeevan Mission and the Health Engineering Department shared this update, reflecting the state’s ongoing commitment to ensuring clean drinking water access in rural regions.
