Agartala, Sept 21: The Tripura State Pollution Control Board is organizing a state-level model exhibition and competition on the theme “Affordable and Sustainable Lifestyle for a Green Tripura.” The competition will be held tomorrow at Pragna Bhawan, following district-level competitions across eight districts. The top five contestants from each district have been selected to participate in the state-level event.
The primary aim of this initiative is to foster innovation and creativity among students regarding environmental protection. Their efforts will contribute to the development of a clean and healthy Tripura.
Science, Technology, and Environment Minister Animesh Debbarma will attend the event as a special guest. Also present will be the Secretary of Science, Technology and Environment Department, the Chairman of the Tripura State Pollution Control Board, Dr. K Sasikumar, along with Mahender Singh, Director of the Science, Technology and Environment Department, and NC Sharma, Director of the School Education Department.
The exhibition will showcase models on waste management, energy conservation, water purification, and eco-friendly product innovation. The winners of the Hackathon Competition on Circular Economy will also be awarded at the event. The competition aims to enhance students’ innovative thinking to enrich the country’s economy through resource recycling.
