Kamalpur, 9th September 2024: A jawan of the Border Security Force (BSF) from the 105th Battalion was shot today around 12 PM near the Amtali Border Outpost (BOP) along the India-Bangladesh border in the Kamalpur sub-division of Tripura. The bullet hit the jawan, B Arun Dilip, in the chest. He is approximately 40 years old.
Immediately after the incident, the injured jawan was taken to Kamalpur Sub-Divisional Hospital. However, due to the critical nature of his injuries, he was quickly referred to GB Hospital in Agartala for further treatment.
BSF officials have remained tight-lipped about the details of the shooting. They have not provided any comments on the situation. Moreover, when journalists attempted to take photographs of the injured jawan at the hospital, they were obstructed by the BSF personnel present there.
The incident raises a significant question: was the shooting a result of an attack from the Bangladeshi side, or was it due to an internal issue within the BSF? The truth behind the shooting is yet to be determined, and police investigations are currently underway to uncover the facts.
This incident has sparked concern among local residents in the border areas of Tripura, and all eyes are now on the ongoing investigation to bring clarity to the situation.
