Udaipur, Gomati District: On August 14, a total of 17 cataract surgeries were successfully performed at Gomati District Hospital. The medical team, led by specialist ophthalmologist Dr. Chandam Acharya, included Nursing Officer Reena Rani Das and Optometrist Bhavatosh Shil, among other dedicated healthcare professionals.

Of the 17 patients who underwent surgery, three were men, and 14 were women. The surgeries were conducted as part of the hospital’s regular cataract surgery program, which takes place every Wednesday.

Following the procedures, all patients are reported to be in stable condition. This update was shared by the Health Department in an official press release, highlighting the hospital’s ongoing commitment to providing quality eye care to the community.
