Shantirbazar, July 24, 2024 — A shocking incident has shaken the residents of Master Para area in Shantirbazar as the lifeless body of Amal Debnath, a 40-year-old TSR jawaan, was found on his rooftop late Wednesday night. Amal Debnath was an active member of the 7th Battalion of the Tripura State Rifles (TSR).
Originally hailing from the Sonai area in Sakram subdivision, Debnath had recently moved to his newly constructed house in Master Para. The events leading up to his tragic death unfolded when he went to the rooftop with a local youth named Saurav Debnath.
Shortly thereafter, Amal Debnath’s body was discovered, with initial suspicions pointing towards electrocution as the cause of death. However, family members have expressed doubts and are suspicious of Saurav Debnath, who was with him at the time of the incident.
On Thursday, after the post-mortem was conducted at Shantirbazar District Hospital, the body was handed over to the family. The autopsy report is expected to shed light on the exact cause of death, potentially revealing critical details that could solve the mystery surrounding Amal Debnath’s untimely demise.
