Dhalai, July 4, 2024: NITI Aayog’s Special Advisor Rajiv Sen launched the ‘Samppurnata Abhiyan’ in Ganganagar Block of Dhalai District today. Designated as an aspirational block, Ganganagar is set to undergo significant infrastructural development and improvement in the quality of life for its residents. A team from NITI Aayog visited Ganganagar to inaugurate this initiative and evaluate the ongoing developmental activities in the block.
Objectives of the ‘Samppurnata Abhiyan’
The ‘Samppurnata Abhiyan’ aims to uplift Ganganagar Block through a comprehensive development plan focusing on six key indicators:
- Healthcare Improvement
- Education and Skill Development
- Water Supply and Sanitation
- Agriculture and Rural Development
- Financial Inclusion
- Infrastructure Development

The launch event was held at the Ganganagar Community Hall, inaugurated by Rajiv Sen. Notable attendees included Dhalai District Magistrate Saju Bahid A, officials from NITI Aayog, and representatives from various departments.
Site Visits by NITI Aayog Delegation
After the inauguration, the NITI Aayog delegation visited various exhibition stalls showcasing the developmental initiatives. The team also inspected local schools, Anganwadi centers, and the Health and Wellness Center in Ganganagar. They participated in the “Godbharai” ceremony at the Anganwadi center, highlighting the focus on community engagement.
Development Initiatives in Ganganagar
Designated as an aspirational district in 2018, Dhalai has seen ongoing development efforts. In 2023, Ganganagar Block was further designated as an aspirational block. This initiative is part of a broader strategy by NITI Aayog to promote holistic development across these areas. The ‘Samppurnata Abhiyan’ will continue until September 30, 2024.
