Agartala, June 28, 2024: Bhavan’s Tripura Vidyamandir celebrated its annual award distribution and board toppers felicitation ceremony on Friday, marking yet another year of academic excellence and cultural richness. The event was held in the school’s theater in Sambar and was attended by esteemed guests and the school community.
The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the mangal lamp and the garlanding of the portraits of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s founder, K.M. Munshi, and the late director, Shri Kashinath Das. Mrs. Swapna Som, the principal, delivered a warm welcome address to the honored guests and students. A captivating cultural presentation by the students followed, adding vibrancy to the event.
Prominent figures graced the occasion, including former Chief Justice of the Odisha High Court, Shri Subhashis Talapatra; Senior Scientific Officer of Tripura State Forensic Science Laboratory, Dr. Sabyasachi Nath; and Principal of Bhavan’s Tripura College of Teacher Education, Dr. G.V. Subramanian. Retired IFS officer and Chairman of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Agartala Center, Mr. Debashish Chakraborty, also attended the event.
The guests praised Bhavan’s Tripura Vidyamandir for its contributions to education and culture, highlighting its discipline and excellence. Awards were presented to the meritorious students of the academic year 2023-24. Board exam toppers of classes 10 and 12 were also honored.
Special awards included the Professor Kashinath Das Memorial Award for the class 12 board topper, the chemistry topper in class 12, and the class 10 board topper. The Bhavan’s Merit Award and the Harlal Merit Scholarship were also conferred.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Headmistress Smt. Pompi Majumdar, followed by the national anthem. The active participation of students and parents ensured the program’s success, reflecting the school’s ongoing commitment to holistic education.
