Agartala 3 June 2024: Tomorrow, the vote counting for the by-elections in two Lok Sabha constituencies and the Ramnagar Assembly constituency in Tripura will take place. Electoral observer Vivek Bhimanwar and the Returning Officer for the West Tripura Lok Sabha constituency, and District Magistrate of West Tripura, Vishal Kumar, visited Umakanta School today to review the final preparations. After the inspection, they briefed the media, confirming that all preparations are complete.
A three-tier security arrangement has been established to ensure safety. No vehicles or public will be allowed within 100 meters of the counting center, with barricades in place. The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) will manage the internal security, while the state police will handle the external security.
Vote counting for 14 Assembly constituencies will take place at Umakanta Academy, simultaneously with the Ramnagar Assembly by-election count. Approximately 1,200 personnel will be involved in the counting process. Additionally, around 1,200 counting agents from various political parties will be present.
Both electoral observer Vivek Bhimanwar and District Magistrate Vishal Kumar expressed satisfaction with the preparations, assuring that the election process will be transparent and fair.
