Agartala, June 3, 2024: Engineers Forum protested in front of Police Headquarters today demanding arrest of lawyers. In a recent incident, a power department official was physically assaulted by lawyers.
A few days ago, the lawyers blocked the road to the Agartala Judge’s Court in the Choumuhani area of the fire service as there was no electricity for three days. At that time, it was alleged that the lawyers physically harassed Apu Pal, an official of the Electricity Department. Engineers Forum filed a case at the police station, but no arrests have been made till date.
The protesters demanded immediate arrest of the culprits and ensure justice. “We are protesting peacefully for justice. The culprits must be punished and we must ensure the safety of our fellow citizens,” said the Engineers Forum president.
