Kamalasagar, May 18, 2024: In a tragic incident, a fatal road accident occurred today in the Harishnagar tea garden area, resulting in the untimely death of a young individual. The accident happened around 11:00 a.m. when Samrat Orang and his companion, Ranjit Orang, were on their way to work.
The two were traveling on a motorcycle with the registration number 07E7860, heading towards Agartala. As they navigated through the busy roads, a passenger-carrying bus, bearing the registration number 03B1340, approached from the opposite direction. The collision between the bus and the motorcycle was unavoidable.
Eyewitnesses reported that the impact threw Samrat Orang off the motorcycle and tragically, he came under the wheel of the bus. He sustained severe head injuries that proved fatal. Ranjit Orang, his companion, was also injured but survived the crash and was promptly taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
The local authorities were quick to arrive at the scene, cordoning off the area and managing the traffic to prevent further incidents. The bus driver has been taken into custody for questioning, and an investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause of the accident.
