News 29, November 23: In a tragic turn of events, residents along the Udaipur-Killa road blocked the road and demanded justice after Rajab Ali’s death. The incident created a tense situation in the area, with a heavy police presence trying to control the unrest.
The allegations against people involved in Rajab Ali’s death led to unrest. The incident took place when a man named Akhtar Hossain was seriously injured in a collision with an autorickshaw. Kalu Saha and another person named Bala Das were accused of initiating the attack on Akhtar Hussain.
Reports say that several people, including Akhtar Hussain’s uncle Rajab Ali, intervened to prevent further violence. However, a group of men, including Kalu Saha and Bala Das attacked Rajab Ali, resulting in his tragic death.
Local residents took Rajab Ali to Gomti District Hospital with serious injuries. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead on arrival by medical personnel. Rajab Ali’s son filed a case against three persons, including Kalu Saha and Bala Das at Radhakishorpur police station.
Police immediately arrested the accused, and they are currently in custody. The situation took a different turn when locals along with another person named Biswajit Pal demanded the arrest of additional suspects and demanded justice for Rajab Ali’s family.
Local Member of Parliament Ram Pada Jamatia assured the community that appropriate action would be taken against all those involved in the incident. He also promised support to Rajab Ali’s family and called for government assistance in the wake of the tragedy.
The blockade of the Udaipur-Killa road by locals is an expression of their frustration over perceived police inaction and demand for strict legal action against the accused. As the situation unfolds, authorities are working to defuse tensions and address community concerns.
