Agartala 10 November: NBEMS Diploma in All India Course Postgraduates Protest Over Unpaid Stipends at IGM Hospital.
Despite providing essential services at IGM Hospital for the past 5 months, postgraduate trainees from the NBEMS diploma in All India course are yet to receive their stipends. Taking on responsibilities diligently, these doctors found themselves compelled to stage a protest on Friday. With a commitment of two years in service at IGM Hospital, each of the 18 trainees, hailing from different states, faces an economic crisis due to the absence of stipends.
While doctors in other hospitals receive their stipends on the 1st of every month, the trainees at IGM Hospital have been deprived of this financial support for the last 5 months. The discrepancy in stipend disbursement has led to growing concerns among the protesting trainees, highlighting the need for swift resolution to ensure the financial well-being of these dedicated healthcare professionals.
