Agartala 17-03-23: The second stint of BJP- IPFT government has already started to see out of the box decisions being where to celebrate International Women’s Day the BJP leader Patalkanya Jamatia and Jayanti Debbarma has been elected as MOS on Friday. Jayanti Debbarma is the daughter of NC Debbarma who died due to illness few days ago and both of them were candidates as well in the Tripura Legislative Assembly Election 2023.
This kind of decision taken by the state government has been historic as this kind of step has never been taken before. PatalKanya Jamatia has been elected as the Chairperson of Tripura Rehabilitation Plantation Corporation Limited while Jayanti Debbarma has been elected as the Chairperson of Tripura Commission for Protection of Child Rights on this day. The Chief Minister Professor Dr Manik Saha has therefore congratulated both of them.
BJP believes in empowerment of women while the Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself has always given emphasis on the fact that more power must be given to women to make sure they become stronger. The Prime Minister has always made sure that development of Socio Economic side takes place with women and on the other hand the Chief Minister Professor Dr Manik Saha also follows the same path shown by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
There are various steps which are being taken in the state as well where the College going students get education free of cost while steps are also being taken so that more safety and security can be given to the women of the state. Hence from that point of view this decision taken by Professor Dr Manik Saha led government is absolutely historic.
The Under Secretary of the state government Joy Datta confirmed the same on Friday. Hence from now onwards they can use the facilities which are given to an MOS. Jayanti Debbarma was the IPFT candidate from Asharambari Assembly Constituency while Patal Kanya Jamatia was the BJP candidate from Ampi Assembly Constituency.
The Chief Minister Professor Dr Manik Saha through his Social media account congratulated both of them and hoped that they both will excel and bring some much needed speed and show women power in the state as well.
