Tripura 28 Jan, 2025: On the night of January 25, BBM College student Moumita Shil (23) was returning home on a scooter with her parents when their vehicle collided with a four-wheeler. Moumita died on the spot, while her parents were injured. Her father, Pradip Shil, is in critical condition and undergoing treatment at GB Hospital, and her mother, Sujata Shil, is also injured.
The tragic incident occurred in the Chandrapur area while the family was returning to their home in Ranibazar after attending an invitation at their elder daughter’s house in Dashamighat.
Moumita’s death has left her family and locals devastated. They submitted a deputation to the West District Superintendent of Police, demanding a fair investigation into the incident.
Additionally, the victim’s relatives and locals have expressed outrage against the East Agartala police, accusing them of negligence and demanding swift justice.
