Agartala 20 November, 2024: The mortal remains of Naik Shubankar Bhowmik, a brave soldier of the Indian Army who attained martyrdom while serving at the Siachen border, arrived at MBB Airport this evening. Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nannu paid his heartfelt tributes by laying a wreath on the martyr’s body.
The Governor expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family and acknowledged the supreme sacrifice of Naik Shubankar Bhowmik in protecting the nation. Speaking to the media, the Governor said, “Naik Shubankar Bhowmik has laid down his life while performing his duty at the Siachen border. His bravery and sacrifice will always be remembered with pride.”
Senior officials also paid their respects to the martyr. Tripura Police DIG Manchak Ipper, West Tripura District Superintendent of Police Dr. Kiran Kumar K., and senior army officers were present to honor the soldier.
