Agartala, 05 November, 2024: In a recent high-level meeting at the state secretariat, chaired by Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, the Tripura School Quality Assessment and Accreditation Framework (TSQAAF) draft was thoroughly reviewed. Attendees included Special Secretary of the Education Department Hemendra Kumar Rawal, Director of Secondary and Primary Education N.C. Sharma, SCERT Director L. Darlong, and officials from Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan and SCERT.
The Chief Minister emphasized the state government’s commitment to prioritizing quality education, underscoring the need for continuous assessment to improve educational standards. He stressed the importance of building robust educational infrastructure and implementing regular evaluations to enhance student performance.
Dr. Saha directed the officials to prepare a comprehensive report on the pilot project’s first phase in Dhalai and South Tripura districts, aiming to understand successes and challenges for further refinement.
Special Secretary Raval Hemendra Kumar presented the detailed framework of TSQAAF, explaining its potential to identify educational and infrastructural gaps in school complexes and implement corrective measures. He mentioned that the framework is on track for imminent state-wide implementation to uplift educational standards.
The meeting also included discussions by SCERT and Secondary Education Department officials on ongoing teacher training programs, focusing on enhancing teaching quality across Tripura.
