Sisters pray for the long life and well-being of their brothers, while brothers vow to ensure the happiness, prosperity, and safety of their sisters. Bhai Dooj is a cherished tradition, Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha stated at a Bhai Dooj celebration held today at his official residence, following the customs and traditions of the festival.
Sisters from various parts of the state offered blessings and performed the “bhaiphota” ritual for the Chief Minister, wishing him good health and prosperity. In return, the Chief Minister extended his heartfelt wishes for the well-being of all sisters on this auspicious occasion.
During the event, he highlighted that the current government is dedicated to the holistic development and socio-economic advancement of women. Various schemes are being implemented across the state for the welfare and benefit of women.
