CM Manik Saha Emphasizes Transparency in Recruitment at TCS and TPS Grade-II Officers’ Offer Ceremony
Agartala, October 5, 2024: Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha called upon newly appointed TCS and TPS Grade-II officers to uphold their responsibilities towards the state and society while serving with transparency and dedication. The Chief Minister made these remarks during the offer letter distribution ceremony held at Muktadhara Auditorium, where 30 TCS Grade-II and 10 TPS Grade-II officers received their job offers through the Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC).
Speaking as the chief guest, CM Saha emphasized that the current government has proven its commitment to transparency through action. He highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s transparent leadership at the national level and affirmed that maintaining integrity and dedication in the workplace would ensure success. “Success in TCS and TPS comes from diligence and dedication. Our government is committed to creating a healthy working environment, and we have introduced a transparent recruitment policy to ensure merit-based selections,” he said.
He further reiterated that every appointment made under his government has followed a transparent process. The Joint Recruitment Board of Tripura (JRBT) and TET-based teacher recruitment have been conducted with fairness, and the government will continue to fill more vacancies. CM Saha stated that the TCS and TPS officers act as the bridge between the government and the people, responsible for delivering welfare schemes to the most marginalized sections of society. He also stressed that no region is now out of reach due to improved connectivity across the state. Officers, wherever posted, should work in the people’s best interests with an open and transparent approach, he added.
CM Saha pointed out that the state government is focused on providing extensive training, including opportunities outside Tripura, to further enhance the technical expertise of TCS officers. He also mentioned Tripura’s leading role in implementing e-office solutions up to the Panchayat level, aiming to improve governance.
In his address, Chief Secretary J K Sinha congratulated the newly appointed officers and reminded them that their roles are not just a profession but an opportunity to serve the public. “The true purpose of this job is to work in the interest of the people, and that is when it becomes truly fulfilling,” Sinha remarked. He also underscored the importance of adopting a service-oriented mindset and utilizing modern technology in administrative functions, referencing the state’s successful implementation of e-cabinet and e-office initiatives.
During the ceremony, CM Saha highlighted the government’s ongoing efforts towards recruitment across various departments. He shared statistics on the recruitment of employees and teachers in recent years, reiterating that transparency and public welfare remain the guiding principles of the state’s functioning. The Chief Minister expressed his hope that the newly inducted officers would align themselves with the government’s vision of making Tripura one of the best states in India.
The event also featured speeches from Secretary of General Administration (Personnel & Training) Apurba Roy and Additional Secretary Dr. Samit Roy Chowdhury, who offered their best wishes to the officers and emphasized the importance of their future roles in state administration.
