AGARTALA, SEPTEMBER 8: A technology startup founded in Tripura is building a national community around a career model that places greater emphasis on demonstrable skills and practical experience than conventional resumes.
Agartala-based entrepreneur Riten Debnath’s Fueler has crossed 1,40,000 registered members, bringing together students, creators, freelancers and early-career professionals on a platform designed to showcase their actual work.
Rather than relying primarily on academic qualifications or traditional CVs, Fueler allows users to build digital portfolios featuring projects, internships, freelance assignments, campaigns, case studies and other initiatives. The company describes this as a “proof of work” approach to career development.
The platform has been expanding its ecosystem through collaborations with startups, agencies, educational platforms and individual creators. According to the company, these partnerships allow organisations to discover talent while giving members access to practical projects and professional opportunities.
Fueler’s reported collaborations include GrowthX, Growth School, LEAP, Scaler, Flexiple, Buzzlab, Inagiffy, Owled, Topmate and FinFloww. It has also worked with creators such as Ansh Mehra, Vaibhav Sisinty, Sindu Biswal and Ishan Sharma.
The company said members of its community have secured opportunities with organisations including Microsoft, PayPal, GitLab, YourStory, Scaler, Cautio, Ugaoo, HackerRank and AppsForBharat.
Debnath said the changing expectations of employers are encouraging students and young professionals to demonstrate what they can actually do, rather than depend solely on conventional credentials.
The startup’s growth is also notable for its origins. Built from Tripura, Fueler has expanded its community beyond the state and established connections with organisations and professionals across India.
“Talent is everywhere. Opportunity, however, is often unevenly distributed,” Debnath said, underlining the company’s stated aim of connecting talent with opportunities regardless of geography.
The 1.4 lakh-member milestone comes as Fueler looks to further expand its community and industry partnerships. The company said it plans to create more opportunities for members to gain practical exposure and showcase their capabilities.
Fueler’s expansion adds to the growing visibility of Tripura’s technology and startup ecosystem, with the company positioning its national community as an example of how ventures from the Northeast can build audiences and professional networks beyond their home market.
