Tripura, 10 July: The two-day Destination Tripura Business Conclave 2026 concluded on a highly successful note, with investors expressing strong interest in the state’s growth potential. More than 342 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and Letters of Intent (LoIs) were signed across various sectors, with preliminary estimates indicating investment proposals worth ₹1,21,303 crore. Around 2,000 investors from within and outside the state, along with representatives from over 1,200 organisations, participated in the conclave.
According to the Industries & Commerce Department, after the inaugural session, Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha held interactions with foreign ambassadors and diplomatic representatives, inviting them to explore investment opportunities in Tripura. Ministers including Ratan Lal Nath, Pranajit Singha Roy, Santwana Chakma, Sushanta Chowdhury, Tinku Roy, Shukla Charan Noatia, Animesh Debbarma, and Kishore Barman also met with investors and highlighted the state’s investment-friendly environment.
The proposed investments span multiple sectors. The largest commitments include ₹30,000 crore in Industry & Commerce, ₹18,100 crore through TSCCL, ₹13,248 crore in Information Technology, ₹12,980 crore in TREDA projects, ₹12,303 crore in Tourism, ₹4,000 crore in Healthcare, ₹3,056 crore in Transport, ₹3,000 crore in Higher Education, ₹2,650 crore in Animal Resource Development, ₹1,700 crore in Bamboo, Rubber and Agar-based industries, ₹1,675 crore in Agriculture & Horticulture, ₹568 crore in Education, and ₹228 crore in Fisheries.
The conclave witnessed participation from several leading national and international organisations, including Google, Salesforce, RV (Jindal Group), Power Finance Corporation, Ambuja Neotia, ATRI Group, GIZ (Germany), CSRD Enterprise, MACLEC, NLC India, ECS Realty Pvt. Ltd., Sumandeep Vidyapeeth, NDR Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd., JK Urban Garden, Smart Green Aquaculture, Bhutoria Logistics, Anjali Exports, AV Biotechs, and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL).
The event also saw the participation of ambassadors, high commissioners and diplomatic representatives from 10 countries—Bangladesh, the Philippines, Timor-Leste, Laos (Lao PDR), Kazakhstan, Chile, Nepal, Uzbekistan, South Africa, and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO)—highlighting Tripura’s growing international investment appeal.
