Agartala: Jun 26. MLA Pramod Reang has urged Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha to approve the strengthening and improvement of two important roads in South Tripura under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) scheme, citing their deteriorated condition and the need for smooth transportation.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Minister, the MLA stated that the roads from NH-08 (Aloycherra) to Rajapur via Maukshya Para, Jamatia Para and Lalmirah (7.50 km), and from Betaga Bazar to Kanchan Nagar via Lowgang (6.50 km) are in poor condition, causing difficulties for the movement of passengers and goods.
He requested the government to accord necessary approval for strengthening and improving the riding quality of both roads under the CRIF scheme.
According to the proposal, the first road connects NH-08 at Aloycherra to Rajapur through several villages, while the second links Betaga Bazar with Kanchan Nagar via Lowgang. The MLA said the projects are essential to improve connectivity and facilitate safer and smoother transportation in the region.
