Kailashahar, June 19 (Anupam Pal): With the noble objective of serving humanity, the TSR 15th Battalion (IR-XI) organised a voluntary blood donation camp at its Saidabari Camp on Friday morning. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from battalion personnel, reflecting their commitment to social service.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by IGP Cary Marak, Commandant Rajib Sengupta, Deputy Commandant Raju Reang, and other senior officials.

Addressing the gathering, Commandant Rajib Sengupta said that the camp was organised to help meet the growing demand for blood in hospitals across the district and to ensure an adequate supply for patients in need. He praised the battalion personnel for voluntarily coming forward to donate blood, describing their participation as a shining example of social responsibility.
Doctors and staff from the District Hospital Blood Bank were present at the camp and carried out the blood collection process.
A total of 63 volunteers donated blood during the camp. The humanitarian initiative has been widely appreciated by local residents, with many believing that such voluntary participation will continue to inspire future social welfare and community service activities.
