Kailashahar | Anupam Pal: Dr. Debalina Baidya, a talented daughter of Unakoti district in Tripura, has brought immense pride to the state through her outstanding academic achievement. She set a remarkable example of excellence by winning two Gold Medals at the 4th Convocation Ceremony of Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Health Sciences and Ayush University.
She was awarded the University Gold Medal for securing the highest aggregate marks among 231 postgraduate students in the MDS Examination 2025 in the discipline of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry. In addition, she received the Donor Gold Medal for achieving the highest aggregate marks in the same subject and securing a place among the top-ranking students.

The convocation ceremony was attended by several distinguished dignitaries, including Shri Ramen Deka, Governor of Chhattisgarh; Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh; Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Minister of Health and Family Welfare; and many other eminent personalities. Dr. Debalina received these prestigious honours in their presence.
Dr. Debalina Baidya is a resident of Rajnagar Chhebri Chowmuhani in Fatikroy, Unakoti district. Her mother, Mrs. Khuku Rani Biswas, is a former teacher of Fatikroy Higher Secondary School, while her father, Mr. Porimal Baidya, is a former Headmaster of Kumarghat Girls’ Higher Secondary School. Raised in an educated and value-based family, her achievement has become a matter of pride for her family, teachers, and the people of Tripura.
