Agartala, June 8: Tripura Minister for Animal Resource Development, Fisheries and Scheduled Caste Welfare, Sudhangshu Das, on Monday visited Ward No. 5 of Krishnanagar Gram Panchayat under the Fatikroy Assembly constituency to assess the condition of a long-neglected rural road and ensure early resolution of the issue.
Accompanied by officials from the Kumarghat Block administration, panchayat representatives, engineers and local residents, the Minister personally inspected the site earmarked for road construction. The visit followed repeated complaints from villagers regarding the deteriorating condition of the road and the hardships caused by poor connectivity.
Residents informed the Minister that the damaged road has been affecting daily transportation, access to essential services and overall mobility in the area. They urged the government to take immediate steps to improve the infrastructure.
Taking note of the grievances, Sudhangshu Das directed the concerned officials to expedite the necessary procedures and begin construction work without delay. He stressed the importance of improving rural connectivity and ensuring that development projects are implemented in a timely manner.
The Minister assured local residents that the issue would receive priority attention and would not remain pending. His intervention has raised hopes among villagers that the long-awaited road construction project will soon commence, providing much-needed relief and better connectivity to the area.
