Although he lost by a narrow margin in the previous election, he believes that unity among all communities will be the key strength for their victory this time.
He also mentioned that under the leadership of Tipra Motha founder Pradyot Kishore Debbarman, people are placing renewed trust in the hope of development.Criticizing the BJP, Chakma alleged that many promises made in recent years have not been properly fulfilled and that people are dissatisfied with the work of the previous MDC.
He further commented that this dissatisfaction forced the BJP to change its candidate.Expressing confidence about his victory, he stated that politics should never be based on caste or religion, but rather on trust and performance. If elected, his primary goal will be to ensure peace and harmony in the region and to carry forward development work by including all communities.
Overall, the growing public support and enthusiasm seen in Tipra Motha’s campaign in the 6 No. Manu Chailengta constituency indicate a new political equation emerging in the hill areas ahead of the elections.
