Tripura, 26 Dec 2025: Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Thursday attended the Veer Bal Diwas observance organised at Chanmari Gurudwara Sahib, Agartala.
The Chief Minister took part in the main prayer meeting held on the occasion and offered prayers for the welfare of the people of the state. Speaking to the media later, Dr. Saha said that Veer Bal Diwas was announced in 2022 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Veer Bal Diwas is observed to commemorate the supreme sacrifice of Sahibzada Baba Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Baba Fateh Singh, the younger sons of Guru Gobind Singh, whose courage, martyrdom, and devotion continue to inspire generations. Their story of faith and bravery, the Chief Minister said, remains a powerful lesson for today’s youth.
Dr. Saha further stated that the core objective of observing Veer Bal Diwas is to strengthen the spirit of patriotism, self-belief, and confidence among citizens. The day is being observed across India with due respect and dignity. He extended his greetings to all Sikh brothers and sisters and to the people of the state on the occasion.
