Agartala: Dec 23. A one-day district-level workshop cum closing programme marking International Disaster Risk Reduction Day 2025 was organised by the North Tripura district administration at the Vivekananda Sardha Shatabarsiki Bhavan in Dharmanagar on Tuesday.
The workshop focused on best practices in good governance and enhancing awareness on disaster management, with emphasis on strengthening administrative preparedness, coordination, and institutional response during emergencies.
The programme was inaugurated by District Magistrate Chandni Chandran, in the presence of State Project Officer of the Revenue Department Dr. Sarat Kumar Das, Panisagar Sub-Divisional Magistrate Sushanta Debbarma, TCS, and Kanchanpur Sub-Divisional Magistrate Ashis Biswas, TCS.
The session was presided over by Dharmanagar Sub-Divisional Magistrate Debjani Chowdhury.
District administration officials stated that the initiative aims to reinforce the role of good governance in disaster risk reduction and improve coordination among various administrative stakeholders.
