Tripura, 19 Dec 2025: A tragic incident has come to light from Malaynagar Sahapara under the jurisdiction of Srinagar Police Station, where a young married woman allegedly died by suicide, leaving behind her 11-month-old child. The deceased has been identified as Samapti Rudra Pal, wife of Ashok Pal.
According to preliminary information, ongoing domestic discord is suspected to be the reason behind the incident. Ashok Pal stated that an argument broke out between the couple on Saturday over routine household chores and childcare responsibilities. During the altercation, Samapti reportedly got into a verbal dispute with her mother-in-law as well.
Ashok further informed that he had shared the matter with Samapti’s parental family. Following this, Samapti’s parents allegedly scolded her, which further aggravated the situation. However, Ashok claimed that the tension subsided after some time and the atmosphere returned to normal.
Later in the day, Ashok Pal left home for his private tutoring work. Before leaving, Samapti had asked him to bring some food items on his way back. After some time, Ashok’s mother called him and informed that Samapti had gone into the bathroom and had not responded despite repeated calls.
Alarmed by the situation, neighbors rushed to the spot and broke open the bathroom door, where Samapti was found hanging. She was immediately rescued and taken to Hapaniya Hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.
