Tripura, 18 Dec 2025: A tragic road accident claimed the life of a 23-year-old youth while he was trying to save a dog in khowai on Wednesday evening.
The incident occurred around 8 pm when the youth, identified as Rahul Deb, was travelling on his scooter from the Paharmura area towards Samatal Padmabil. According to sources, a dog suddenly came onto the road. In an attempt to save the animal, Rahul lost control of his scooter, leading to a serious accident.
He sustained critical injuries and was immediately rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Suddenly, the family received the devastating news and lost their young son, leaving them shattered by the unexpected tragedy.
The untimely death of the youth cast a pall of gloom over the entire area. Emotional scenes were witnessed at the hospital premises as relatives and locals gathered in shock and grief.
