Tripura, 10 Dec 2025: A four-day district-level handloom fair will be organized in North Tripura beginning December 28 at the premises of Dharmanagar DNITI Maidan.
To ensure the fair is conducted smoothly and successfully, a preparatory meeting was held today at the District Magistrate’s office. The meeting was chaired by Sabhadhipati of the North Tripura Zilla Parishad, Aparna Nath. Among those present were North Tripura District Magistrate Chandni Chandran, Additional District Magistrate Bijoy Sinha, Additional District Magistrate L. Darlong, and Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Dharmanagar, Debjani Chowdhury.
Several important decisions were taken in the meeting to ensure the successful organization of the handloom fair.
Throughout the four days of the fair, various stalls set up by self-help groups will display and sell a wide range of products. These will include food stalls, traditional garments, bamboo and cane products, and various locally produced items. Self-help groups from all eight blocks of the district will participate in the fair.
Cultural programmes will be organized every evening during the fair. Renowned artists from within the state as well as from outside the state will take part in these cultural performances.
