Bishramganj, Dec 4: A total of 201 voters from 52 families joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during a programme held at the Motor Stand area of Bishramganj on Wednesday.
The event, organised by the Sipahijala district unit under the “Bihar Vijay Samabesh”, drew a large gathering and aimed at strengthening the party’s grassroots network. According to party leaders, the families had previously been associated with different political groups but formally decided to shift to the BJP.
Leaders present at the programme said the new entrants cited confidence in the BJP’s organisational structure and development-driven policies. They added that welfare schemes, infrastructure expansion and livelihood initiatives taken by the BJP-led governments at the Centre and in Tripura have helped build public trust.
Speakers urged the new members to participate actively in party activities and contribute to efforts focused on inclusive development. Party leaders also expressed confidence that more people from the region would join the BJP in the coming days, encouraged by what they described as transparent governance and people-centric initiatives.
