Tripura, 26 Sep 2025: A preparatory meeting was held yesterday at the conference hall of the Karbook Sub-Divisional Magistrate’s office to discuss arrangements for the upcoming state-level Wa Festival.
It was decided in the meeting that the festival will be celebrated on October 15–16 at the Mahabodhi School ground in Shuknachhari.
The meeting was attended by MLA Mailafu Mog, MDC Kongjong Mog, Chairman of Shilachhari BAC Tomonga Mog, Vice-Chairman of Karbook BAC Pranab Tripura, Karbook SDM Shyamjoy Jamatia, SDPO Gamonjoy Reang, Sub-Divisional Medical Officer Dr. Dhanmoni Tripura, along with officials from various departments, social workers Atindra Riang and Bishal Debbarma, and representatives of the Mog Socio-Cultural Organization.
