Tripura, September 24, 2025: As part of the ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakta Paribar Abhiyan’ initiative, three free special health camps were organized yesterday at different locations in Dhalai district to extend healthcare services and raise awareness among women and children in remote areas.
At Ramnagar, a health camp was conducted under the initiative of Gandatwisa Sub-Divisional Hospital. Specialist doctors from ophthalmology, ENT, and general medicine examined patients and distributed free medicines. A total of 206 patients benefitted from the camp.
On the same day, another camp was held at East Machli under Machli Primary Health Centre. Local women and elderly residents availed themselves of the services, where doctors conducted health check-ups and offered necessary medical advice. In this camp, 112 patients received healthcare support.
Additionally, a one-day camp was organized at Morachhara Primary Health Centre, where specialist doctors not only treated patients but also created awareness about hygiene and preventive healthcare. A total of 50 patients were examined and provided with free medicines.
According to a press release issued by the Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Dhalai District, such initiatives play a vital role in improving healthcare access in remote areas while promoting health awareness and ensuring better medical services for the community.
