Tripura, September 25, 2025: The College of Fisheries, Central Agricultural University (Imphal), Lembucherra, Tripura, inaugurated its Annual College Week 2025 with a ceremonial programme held at the college ground on Tuesday.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Brigadier A. Suryavanshi, Commander, Mountain Artillery Brigade, Agartala, along with Prof. Arun B. Patel, Dean of the college, faculty members, staff, and students.



The inauguration began with the hoisting of the University Flag by the Chief Guest, followed by a March Past, marking the formal commencement of the week-long celebrations.
In his address, Brigadier Suryavanshi emphasized that artificial intelligence can never replace the field of fisheries, which holds a unique and irreplaceable value in human nutrition. Highlighting fish as a vital source of protein, he underlined the mutual learning opportunities between the Army and the fisheries sector, noting that both can benefit from each other’s discipline and expertise. Stressing on the need for discipline, he remarked that it is the key to success in every sphere of life.
Prof. Patel, in his speech, highlighted the significance of academic, cultural, and co-curricular activities in ensuring holistic student development.
The Annual College Week 2025 will feature a diverse range of sporting, cultural, and literary competitions aimed at fostering camaraderie, sportsmanship, and personality development among the students.
