Dharmanagar: Apr 07. Police have arrested two more accused in connection with the Eid-day murder of Khaled Ahmed in the Mangal Khali area of Dharmanagar, tightening the net around those involved in the case.
Acting on a tip-off, Dharmanagar police launched a targeted operation in the Ragna area and successfully apprehended the two suspects, identified as Haider Ali (30) and Moin Uddin (44). With these arrests, the total number of accused in custody has risen to three.
Earlier, one individual had already been arrested, while four others were absconding for a considerable period. Despite the latest breakthrough, two accused are still on the run.
Sub-Divisional Police Officer Jayanta Karmakar stated that search operations have been intensified to track down the remaining suspects and assured that they will soon be brought under the ambit of law.
The investigation into the murder case is ongoing.
