Amarpur, Apr 06: In a strong show of political strength ahead of the upcoming TTAADC elections, Tipra Motha Party (TMP) organized a massive bike rally on Monday in support of its candidate Utpal Debbarma from the 11-Maharanipur constituency. The rally also witnessed a minor political shift, as 16 voters from four families switched allegiance from the BJP to TMP.
The rally began near the Baramura Eco Park area in Teliamura, with candidate Utpal Debbarma personally leading and participating alongside party workers and supporters. Covering key routes including Teliamura Bazaar, Chakmaghat, Mungiakami, and 43 Mile, the procession drew significant public attention and response across the region.
Prominent party leaders, including Ramchandraghat MLA Ranjit Debbarma and Block President Mahendra Debbarma, were present during the rally, boosting the morale of party cadres. Supporters raised slogans and displayed high enthusiasm, projecting confidence in the candidate’s victory.
At the outset of the programme, TMP leaders welcomed the newly joined members by handing over party flags, calling the development a positive sign ahead of the elections.
Overall, the rally underscored TMP’s growing organizational strength and intensified campaign efforts in the run-up to the ADC polls.
