Agartala: Feb 24: Expressing strong confidence ahead of the TTAADC elections, Tipra Motha Party (TMP) founder Bubagra Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarma on Tuesday said the party is in a commanding position and enjoying widespread support across the region.
He made the remarks while addressing a mass gathering-cum-rignai and yarn distribution programme organised from the MDC CDF fund of MDC Ganesh Debbarma at Ratanpur.
Speaking before a large gathering, Debbarma highlighted his consistent engagement with people across Tripura over the past five years. He said he has travelled extensively to places such as Ambassa, Sabroom, Khowai, Khumulwng, Kumarghat and Kanchanpur, participating in major festivals including Tring, Christmas, Hojagiri and Goria, and standing beside families during challenging times.
Emphasising the growing political awareness among Tiprasas, he said the community today is united and conscious about its future. He urged supporters to remain calm and focused, stressing that unity and peaceful dialogue — which he described as the true meaning of “Thansa” — are essential for long-term progress.
Debbarma reaffirmed that the party’s priority is the upliftment of the Tiprasa community, particularly in safeguarding land rights and strengthening educational opportunities for the younger generation. “Tiprasa first, politics later,” he said, underlining the importance of collective development over partisan rivalry.
Calling for harmony beyond religious and political lines, he appealed to supporters not to engage in confrontations with rival party workers. He expressed optimism about securing a decisive victory in the 17-Pekuarjala-Janmejoynagar constituency and maintained that a united Tiprasa community would ensure success in the upcoming Council polls.
The gathering concluded with enthusiastic support from attendees, reflecting strong grassroots momentum for the party.
