Dharmanagar: Feb 21. Several mobile phones reported lost or stolen from different police station areas across North Tripura district have been recovered and returned to their rightful owners, officials said.
The recovery was carried out through coordinated efforts of the district police and the Cyber Cell under the supervision of Superintendent of Police Avinash Rai. Complaints regarding missing and stolen mobile phones had been registered at various police stations in the district over a period of time.
Following these reports, technical surveillance and tracking measures were initiated, which led to the successful tracing of multiple devices. The recovered phones were formally handed over to their respective owners.
Police officials stated that efforts are continuing to trace other missing devices. They added that similar recovery initiatives have been undertaken earlier and will remain an ongoing process to assist citizens in recovering lost or stolen property.
