Tripura, 19 Feb 2026: A preparatory meeting was held at the conference hall of the Gomati District Magistrate to ensure the smooth and successful Arrangement of the upcoming state-level Biju Festival, scheduled to be held from April 13 to 15 at Jharjharia in Amarpur Subdivision.
The meeting was chaired by Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy. During the meeting, a preparation committee was formed with MLA Shambhu Lal Chakma as Chairman. Detailed discussions were held regarding responsibilities, coordination among various departments, and necessary arrangements, and key decisions were taken accordingly.
Gomati Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Debal Debroy, MLAs Ranjit Das and Jitendra Majumdar, Gomati District Magistrate Rinku Lather, along with representatives from various departments, were present at the meeting.
Addressing the gathering, Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy urged all concerned to come forward and work collectively to ensure the successful Arrangement of the state-level Biju Festival.
